Spring break is over. Let’s recap.
I got plenty of sleep and am feeling unusually well-rested for a junior in college. I got to eat meals that were not cooked in mass amounts by university staff members. I applied and paid for and am now waiting for my passport. (PS: To have a passport expedited is unbelievably expensive. You get a passport within ten weeks of applying in a NORMAL situation for under a hundred dollars. To have a passport expedited and ready within a month costs slightly under two hundred dollars. WOW.) I have new shoes, which I am currently wearing and loving, and some new clothes, all courtesy of my parents. I got to spend lots of quality time with mes parents, whom I adore and miss. I accomplished everything on my to do list and am now quasi-prepared for my mysterious internship interview on Friday. Most importantly, I got in touch with my crafty side and made three different collages. More will be coming because as it turns out, collaging is great for calming nerves.
Today, I returned to the wonderful world of radio, which I missed TONS! I was missed, too, and I am happy to report that nothing has changed in the week I was gone. Everyone is still absolutely nutso, and I am still one heck of a weather girl. Now, if someone could just tell me about this job I applied for so I can have some money to spend in Canada, I’d LOVE it.
As for right now, I am researching gifts for my parents, who are coming to visit next weekend! I am also checking prices for plane tickets to and from Montreal and actively NOT looking forward to dropping more money on my trip. I am beginning to think I am desensitizing myself to spending large amounts of money. However, I did stumble across a website FULL of fun things I could buy my future little, and I am pretty excited!
Okay, I’m going to go balance my checkbook and get stuff ready to go speak French. What a glamorous life I lead …
