Great Lengths!

My supervisor let me leave my internship an hour early this morning, and I loved it!  I only have about a month left, and I don’t even want to think about it.  However, I talked to the person in charge of hiring people at the station, and I am on the short list for board operators as soon as the schedule is made.  Yay!  I will finally be making some money!

Speaking of money, after I bought my plane tickets to Canada, there was an offer to save fifteen percent on my plane tickets.  All I had to do was join Great Fun (Free for the first two months!) and print off a form to send in.  I’ll get sixty-five dollars in four to six weeks, and I can cancel my subscription to Great Fun at any time and still keep the money!  Reading the rules and regulations on it made me feel like I was reading copy from an infomercial.  I’m not going to lie … this whole thing seems a little sketch, but for sixty-five dollars back on VERY expensive plane tickets, I’ll take it.

Also in money news, I walked past the job opportunity board in the basement of the student union the other day, and the local plasma bank is looking for plasma donors.  Let me tell y’all, whomever contacted our career services director was BRILLIANT to consider soliciting college students.  We will do pretty much anything for the promise of fifty dollars (see above).  And because this trip cost me more than I expected and I am terrified of being broke, I’m definitely considering it.  This is a brand new low for me, y’all.

Maybe I ought to write my French professor a letter to make him feel guilty.  I wonder if he realizes that his lack of organization and/or responsibility for this trip has made me stoop so low as to consider selling bodily fluids in exchange for money.  Hmm.

PS:  I added a new tag for the trip to Canada, and it pretty much kills me that I can’t put the  grammatically correct and necessary comma between oh and Canada.  I apologize for the lack of appropriate punctuation and my anal retentiveness about this issue.
