So what did y’all do over Easter weekend? My weekend was good, a little boring, really … until the part where my little Saturn got backed into by a huge SUV.
It was pretty traumatizing, I’m not going to lie. There’s nothing more heartstopping than the sound of car on car crunching, especially when you worked a bazillion hours over three-ish months making sandwiches to buy a car.
Fortunately, my pretty little car is only cracked and still driveable — YAY! And, of course, I am just fine, Meredith Grey level post-accident breakdown notwithstanding. I got to file my first accident report with a very friendly and polite police officer. Major props to one of my school’s RAs for escorting him to my door. (Awkward? Little bit.) Also, I got to call an insurance company and request to file a claim. I am currently waiting on someone to return my phone call to tell me when a claims adjuster or WHATEVER they’re called can come look at my car and tell me where to get it fixed.
I know there are times when I say I’m old and blah, blah, blah, but nothing has made me feel so old as actually hearing my twenty-year-old self say, “Oh, I’m just waiting on the insurance people to call me back.” That’s such a grown up thing to say, and I, my friends, do not quite pass for a grown up yet. I have one more year of being a college student … definitely not grown up material yet.
In other news, guess what I did at my internship? I put labels on envelopes for two hours. Awesome.
Well, I hope everyone else stayed collision free this weekend. Happy Easter Monday!

You are one of the most grown up people I know. For reals. Love you!
