Bonjour, tout le monde!
There’s nothing going on right now. I can see why l’École de Langue Française keeps us occupied all the time … or rather, I can see how being occupied all the time has affected me. Instead of participating in my last round of activities (which on Wednesdays is usually taking a walk in the park), I decided to rebel and skip — Mind you, this is the fourth week and the first time I’ve missed anything — and work on my presentation for tomorrow. Now that that’s all squared away, here I am … just hanging out in the computer lab and playing on Facebook. Glamorous.
Although I am not walking in the park (because it is precipitating very passive-aggressively outside … and also, like, fifty degrees), I did go on a mini-hike to a place for injured birds. Not that that wasn’t terribly exciting and interesting, but I am anxiously awaiting the day it is sunny and warm enough to hike in the mountains. That actually needs to happen next Wednesday because it will be my last one in Canada for quite some time. And also, I really want to be able to say I hiked up a mountain while in Québec. I am working on compiling a list of very exciting and new things I have done while in Québec, and hiking up a mountain needs to be on that list. Also included on that list will be whale watching and canoeing — to be done Sunday and Monday, respectively.
I think that’s pretty much it for right now. I am sad to report that it is not nearly as difficult as I thought to switch from French to English, although that is in no way an indication of my progress in the program. I like to think it’s because I am equally capable of communicating in French and English … and now that I think about it, I am actually thinking of how to write this in French. Wonderful.
I hope everything is just peachy Stateside! À bientôt!

Soon enough! Only two more days — not including today (It’s more than halfway finished) or Saturday (because that’s when I’ll be back). I can’t wait!
