After tomorrow, I am officially hiding my debit card and not touching it until I can put money in my bank account. I know I’m not actually spending that much, but not working always makes me feel like my card is about to be rejected. Oh, well … I start work Tuesday afternoon, and after gauging how many hours I’ll be working there, I will fully entertain the possibility of a second job. There’s a paid internship posted on the job board that I’m pretty interested in … we’ll just wait and see, though.
I went to the library yesterday and checked out four books. I have already finished one of them and started on the other. I have also unpacked what I can put away and watched a lot of Food Network. These are the things you do when you’re faced with copious amounts of free time, I suppose.
In other news, Evening opens tomorrow, and that just so happens to be the book I read in less than twenty-four hours, so you’d better believe I am roping my roommate into seeing that with me. The story is lovely, by the way; I wasn’t crazy about the style in which the author chose to write it, but it makes sense for the story … and I can overlook it for the story itself.
Tomorrow is also my mama’s birthday, so I will definitely be giving her a call. That’s kind of grown up, isn’t it? Calling your mama on her birthday? I’m not okay with it; I would much rather be there with her … and for three days later when it’s Daddy’s birthday. I hate feeling old!
Well … I suppose that’s all for now. I’m going to go spend some quality time with a treadmill and an old issue of Marie Claire. Awesome!
