Things That Have Made Me Angry
1. My job: Instead of making my own hours, I am now reduced to on call status. That’s awesome … I love only working four hours a week! Oh, wait. I have bills to pay.
2. The maintenance department at my school: Quit congregating under the United Methodist Women banner in your golf carts and go put together my bunk beds. That’s why you get paid.
3. Spider crickets: Why are you in my house? GET OUT.
4. The man at the post office this afternoon: Quit talking and get to work. I have somewhere to be.
5. The postal service: Where’s my mail? I’m coming to get it tomorrow … early. Be afraid.
Things That Have Made Me Happy
1. My job: I got paid to eat ice cream today! By the way, Blue Bell’s Anniversary Cake ice cream might be my new favorite. Also, I hang out with crazy people who make me laugh. Just give me more hours.
2. The lady at the Greek store in Jackson: I think she would bend over backwards for anyone in my sorority … or anyone at all. She is one of the nicest women I have ever met in my entire life.
3. My family: I’m going back to Indianapolis TOMORROW. Get excited! I’m totally going to be a slacker and not going to come in on Monday and drive back to Jackson on Tuesday.
Did y’all know July is National Ice Cream Month? I’m glad the rest of the country is on board with celebrating my favorite dessert of late. Everyone celebrate!
