Since my car won’t start, I obviously need to get it fixed. However, I know nothing about cars, nor do I know of anyone who knows anything about cars, and my usual mechanic (aka Daddy) is six hours away. I would take it in, of course, but seeing as how it won’t start, there’s no taking it anywhere. What should I do? Should I call Daddy and hope and pray that he could get off work and drive six hours to come fix my car? (That’s actually a ridiculous idea; I don’t want him to drive six hours each way to fix my car.) Should I try to find someone who does know something about cars? Should I call someone? Do mechanics do house calls? Should I suck it up and start looking for a new car? I need some help, y’all. Tell me what y’all would do if you were a twenty-year-old soon-to-be senior in college in this situation.
Given that information, calling Daddy sounds pretty good, huh?
