I am back at my mama and daddy’s house. Elizabeth and I got in last night after about seven hours, including dinner at the Big Boy in Louisville. The trip was pretty uneventful, which, as far as the drive to Indianapolis is concerned, is good news. We got waved at by some creepers somewhere in the middle of Kentucky, and I had a man at the salad bar at the Big Boy tell me it looked like I was feeding myself a tree (Isn’t a salad supposed to be green? And leafy?), but other than that, it was nice and easy and rockin’. Who loves the iPod? Allie loves the iPod.
Now that I’m back, I don’t know what to do with myself. I should work on my homework, but catching up on sleep and watching all the Thanksgiving-themed programming on Food Network sounds so much better. In my defense, I’m going to need something to do the rest of the week, so I certainly shouldn’t do it all now. On second thought, that sounds a whole lot like procrastination.
On an unrelated note, I am in dire need of a haircut. My hair is the longest it’s been in quite some time, and as much as I’m liking being able to put my hair in a ponytail without having to pin up half of it, I’m feeling the need to hack off a few inches. That being said, what do y’all think of Kellie Pickler’s hair? Do y’all like that better than the Katie Holmes? I’m not quite sure if I can commit to Katie’s because it’s a bit short, but I’m not necessarily opposed to it. Let me know.
This is also a bit random, but have y’all seen the commercials for Hidden Valley ranch salad dressing? They show little kids being enthusiastic about eating vegetables instead of junk food, and while I am totally fine with kids liking vegetables, it concerns me that the kids are so excited about eating vegetables because of the ranch dressing. Salad dressing has, like, one hundred calories per tablespoon, so doesn’t making kids like vegetables because of ranch negate the goodness of vegetables? I’m concerned. I also hate salad dressing, especially ranch, so maybe that has something to do with it. Who knows? I probably shouldn’t be reading this much into a commercial.
And on that note, I’m going to bed.
