Twenty Dozen Cookies Later …

Um, that would be twenty dozen cookies baked, not eaten.  And yes, I think that’s a record, too.  Moving on, four things:

First of all, whoever Googled “Mr. Heatmiser Christmas ornament,” please let me know if those actually exist because I would love one.   And a Mr. Snowmiser ornament for good measure.

Second of all, which do y’all like better:  this coat or this one?  I’m not too sure which one I like better, and I tried both of them on tonight, and they’re both cute.  Conundrum.  Maybe I ought to leave it to my parents to decide since a new coat is on my Christmas list, and I told them I wouldn’t be mad if either of those coats ended up under the tree.  I also wouldn’t be mad if this showed up under the tree, either.  I’m just saying.

Third of all, the point:  Have you ever noticed that your favorite band is pretty indicative of the music you consistently listen?  If your favorite band has a MySpace page (They probably do.), go to it and look at the box with their top friends in it.  Click on one of the bands — bonus points if you’ve never heard of them — and take a listen.  It’s probably going to sound a lot like something you’re going to listen to next time you get in your car or turn on your radio or whatever.  Maybe it’s just me, though.  Or maybe my favorite bands just have really good taste in fellow musicians.  Either way, new music is always a good thing, so enjoy.

Fourth of all, while checking my e-mail earlier today, I saw the Dolphins won their first game of the season today.  (Congratulations!)  Then, on the way back from Target, Mama mentioned the Colts played today, so I decided to check how they did.  (They won, of course.)  And then I noticed who they played:  the Raiders, Elizabeth’s favorite team.  That got me thinking:  What makes a team your favorite?  Is it because it’s your alma mater?  (Did you go to college there because you loved the sports team?)  Is it because you’ve grown up rooting for that team?  Is it because you live (or did live) in that city?  Or is it simply because the team is good?
