I graduate in May. This is my last spring break. I should be somewhere warm and beachy, working on my tan, enjoying my last sixty-something days of irresponsibility, yet here I sit in Indianapolis, Indiana, at my parents’ house, naturally, after driving seven hours in rain, snow, and ice. It is currently snowing in Indianapolis … and about twenty-six degrees. This would maybe be acceptable if I wanted to go skiing. Or if I didn’t slide off I-65 on my way back.
On the bright side, I made it here in one piece.
In other news, I have serious plans for this break. They include sleeping, looking for jobs, sending in resumes, writing cover letters, making gnudi, and catching up on Grey’s Anatomy. This is hardly how I pictured my last spring break, but we are also talking about the girl who thought she’d be engaged by the time the ol’ job search rolled around.
That’s all I’ve really got for now. I’m sure I’ll be updating multiple times over break. I mean, what else is there to do, really?
