Indianapolis is the future home of the Super Bowl … in four years. I love football — especially the Indianapolis Colts, who are, with the sole exceptions of my family and handful of high school friends, the best thing about this city — but this is not front page news. Please reserve your excitement for this event for, like, three years from now. Or maybe when the new stadium is completed. Maybe y’all ought to channel that excitement and energy into finishing Lucas Oil Stadium, hm?
Anyway, seriously … I don’t care. At all. Not even remotely. Find something else newsworthy, please. With any luck, my family won’t be here in four years. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for that.
Also, the Indianapolis 500 is this weekend, and the last thing I want to do is put up with out-of-town race fans. Or four-dollars-a-gallon gas. Or living in Indianapolis ever again.
I’m just so ready to be back in Tennessee. Someone give me a job, please.
