Ideas I Have Had This Week

1. Start an all-percussion band. No, I don’t play any percussion instruments, but I don’t know that it is necessarily difficult to play the triangle or the tambourine. I mean, the littlest Partridges could handle it, so I think I can, too.

2. Pitch a double contestant version of The Bachelorette to ABC for me and one of my sisters. I have very limited dating experience, and that limited experience, as it turns out, wasn’t always among the more positive experiences in my life. Also, I’m lazy and would much prefer ABC to pick out however many guys that are suitable for me. And really, seriously, I would know the guy is quality if one of my sisters approved, so it’s a double whammy.

3. Create a better version of the DVD Bible. First of all, I will spare y’all a really long spiel about how I feel about the idea of a DVD Bible and sum it up with this: Is it really that hard to open up The Good Book? Second of all, if you are really that opposed to opening up the Bible and actually reading from a book, you should probably go full out and have it reenacted for you. Sound good? I have no TV or movie experience, but I do love Jesus A LOT (and actually reading from the Bible), and I do have some radio experience, so I might start small and go for a radio version. Part radio drama, part books on tape … could work. (PS: Did I ever mention that I was forced to take my school’s radio drama class? Yeah.)

If any of y’all are interested in any of these ideas, holler at me. It could work, yeah? And I promise I really do love Jesus and am not trying to offend anyone.

Anyway, I’m out. I’m meeting my best friend at Dairy Queen (How small town is that?). I’m hoping it will be better than last time I went to Dairy Queen and was very disappointed to find that this particular location no longer served the best Blizzard ever, Georgia Mud Fudge. (It’s bad enough their ice cream cakes don’t actually have cake in them, but then they go an discontinue my favorite? Boo.) I’m also hoping I won’t get hit on via note again. Awkward for everyone.
