In Case You Were Wondering

The majority of my visitors come here in search of the meaning of “Jordans on Saturday,” which is a part of a line from Chris Brown’s “With You.” To make things a little easier for y’all — because I am considerate and weirdly proud of being the first site you are offered when you Google this phrase — here are the meanings I have been given.

Back in February, Don said:

Every Saturday Nike comes out with new shoes. “Jordans,” based on Michael Jordan, are a kind of shoe, so Jordans on Saturday means “fresh” or “brand new.” My friend works for Nike HQ and I asked him cause I didn’t know either.

RA added to this today:

Just in addition of what Don has said, it is not only a matter of being new, it’s that, in that case, no one could wait to have it, it was worth any price.

Or it could be this, says JR: Saturday Night Fish Fry.

So there you have it, thanks to Don, RA, and JR.

And really, I wouldn’t mind if it someone said I was like Jordans on Saturday. With RA’s addition to Don’s original comment, it seems like a really sweet thing to say about someone.
