Three Weeks Later …

… I still love my job, despite facing brand new challenges this week, including Atlanta traffic, private school visits, and near-death experiences at the hands of very expensive sports cars that should obey school zone speed limits.

… I really still love my job, despite facing same ol’, same ol’ challenges, including people not knowing the difference between contacting and confirming (Just because you called doesn’t mean it’s confirmed, y’all.) and terrible directions (Tip for next year:  Invest in GPS, boss.) and exhaustion.

… I probably am well past the point of crippling addiction to coffee.  I think it’s an inherent trait in admissions counselors to overcompensate a severe lack of sleep with caffeine.

… I am one third of the way through travel season and have no major complaints, except that I miss college fairs and seeing the familiar faces of the fellow counselors.

… I have close to sixteen thousand points with Choice Privileges and will be this close to being at platinum level by the end of next week.  Oh, man.

… my travel schedule just keeps getting better and better.  On the agenda for next week:  Macon, Georgia; Savannah, Georgia; Jacksonville, Florida; Orlando, Florida; Tampa, Florida; and St. Petersburg, Florida — including the weekend.  Yes.  Please.
