Sunshine State

Hello from Florida!

It’s been a long few days in the Sunshine State, but it’s Thursday.  There’s one day separating me from a long weekend.  If you think at least part of it won’t be spent on the beach, you’re wrong.  It’s going to be sunny and warm all weekend, and the beach is calling my name.  I’m looking forward to a weekend that involves very little driving because the thought of driving longer than thirty minutes to get anywhere is completely unappealing after yesterday and today.  Chalk it up to a scheduling error, but here’s how Tuesday through Thursday went:

Tuesday:  High school visits in Savannah; drive to Jacksonville
Wednesday:  High school visits in Jacksonville; high school visits in Orlando; drive back to Jacksonville
Thursday:  High school visit in Jacksonville; high school visits in Orlando; drive to Clearwater

You’re welcome, economy.

In other news, tonight was the first time in over a year that I actually watched Grey’s Anatomy at its regularly scheduled time.  I am not displeased.  (The icicle thing was a bit far-fetched, yet somehow I was still FREAKING OUT.)  However, Shonda should quit pulling crap that makes me cry, I may have to write an angry letter.

In more important news, I have reached a decision as to who will get my vote in November, and I’m excited.  Let’s just hope everything works out positively.  I’m not prepared for another heartbreak like the 2000 election.  (I still love you, Al Gore.)

All right, bed time.  Good night, y’all!
