Shout out to my favorites for the blog title. It’s from their song “Four Letter Word,” which does, in fact, feature one of those four letter words — in the preceding line, no less. Interestingly enough, the way things are going as of late, I probably should have titled this entry that, but that’s not [...]

Hey, Jealousy.
Over the weekend, a friend of mine and I were discussing a mutual acquaintance. My friend mentioned she thought it was sad so many people were jealous of our acquaintance, which I found to be odd. The general consensus on our acquiantance is that people aren’t so much jealous as annoyed. The possession of money [...]

Too Old.
After a lovely five hour drive from Lexington, Kentucky back home to Jackson in which I was almost killed at the hands of a semi driver, I got to spend two nights in my own bed. I also got to spend two nights catching up with my sorority sisters and favorite group of fraternity boys [...]

Can I Just Say …
… whoever got to my blog by Googling “Sinupret creepy” is my new favorite person, and I love you? You know what’s up.

Good Day
I walked around downtown Louisville today. Much like Nashville, I drive through Louisville all the time, but I’ve never really been there. Confession.
It’s been two days since my last run. I had every intention of running on Monday night when I got into Louisville, but it was 10:30 by the time I finally made it to the hotel. And tonight? Well, I’m tired, and I think going to bed at a so-called normal hour should trump running. [...]

Oh, and …
I’m reading AJ Jacobs’ The Year of Living Biblically, and I am loving it so far. I read the following passage a few nights ago, and it made me laugh so hard because it reminded me of why my greatest fear is what it is — and it seems like something I would say or [...]

Much Better.
Sorry to be Chicken Little in that last post. The sky wasn’t falling; even if it was, it stopped, and everything is the way it ought to be. Okay, not that, either, but it’s close, and that’s what matters.
I’m in Kentucky this week, and I promise I will try to have something interesting to say [...]

Ugh.
Ever have one of those days where it feels like your entire world is crashing down around you?
Yeah, that was today.
Yikes.

Someone Did His/Her Homework
Painted Babies at Seventeen is on TLC right now. I’m thinking Michael Arndt, who wrote Little Miss Sunshine, must have seen Painted Babies, which is the predecessor to Painted Babies at Seventeen. The documentary is about children in beauty pageants, and it’s just scarily close to the pageant parts in Little Miss Sunshine. I’m creeped [...]
