“August 1978: Jen’s family moves from the metro New York area to a small town in Indiana. Even at ten years old, she’s well aware of how much this sucks.” – Jen Lancaster, “The Historical Jennsylvania Timeline” from jennsylvania.com
Interestingly enough, I read that today while sitting in my room at my parents’ house. How appropriate. That quote is pretty much how my brother and I felt about moving to Indiana, except we moved to the capital. It still sucked, and even though my resentment has faded a little bit, I’m still hardly what you’d call a fan of Indiana. Too bad they don’t ask ten year olds where they want to live.
