It’s been about a week since I last updated, so I thought an update might be in order. Work is crazy but mostly wonderful; however, crazy still means it is consuming my life. It’s kind of ridiculous, really, but it should calm down after I’m done planning my office’s two big admissions events. That should be around the beginning of April. Yes, that’s right: I will regain control over my life in April.
My apartment is still a work in progress. I have yet to finish unpacking or find a dresser so the rest of my clothes can stop living in suitcases or buy a dining room table so I can eat somewhere besides the couch, but everything that is done is good. Sort of. Mostly.
The weather was beautiful for two days straight: over sixty degrees and sunny. It was a nice break from freezing to death. Unfortunately, Mother Nature decided to cool things down again. She and I are going to get in a big fight if she decides to make Tennessee feel like Antarctica again, though.
Well, as sad as it is, I think that might be it. I’m just hanging out and watching Miss America tonight. That may make me anti-feminist or something like that, and say what you will, but I freaking love Miss America. In fact, if I were prettier (or willing to wear more makeup), thinner, and more talented, I totally would have gone for Miss America. However, it should surprise none of you that my talents lie more with what is commonly referred to as “home arts” and are, therefore, unsuitable for Miss America. I guess I should have learned to twirl a baton, huh? Maybe then I wouldn’t have student loan debt ;).
All joking aside, though, I do hope Miss Tennessee wins. She’s from Jackson, and you know I have to root for West Tennessee. And speaking of rooting for West Tennessee, GO TIGERS GO — way to beat those Vols!
