1. An ill-timed downpour just as I was leaving my apartment in a white sweater. Thanks, Mother Nature.
2. Horrendous wind that knocked down bits and pieces of trees all over Jackson. It’s kind of difficult to drive places with halves of trees in the road.
3. A random power outage at work. On the bright side, I did get to leave early. On the down side, I sat in my office with nothing to do for an hour because I couldn’t do anything else.
4. The sound of a cat dying outside of my apartment. I mean, I’m not positive that a cat was actually dying, but it sure sounded like it.
5. One of my charming neighbors locking the door to the laundry room … on the day I have time to do laundry. I guess we know how I’ll be spending my Friday night and Saturday morning. Thanks, guys.
Of course, it wouldn’t be me if I dwelled on all of those gross things that happened today, so I’m not going to because today was a pretty good day. The days have been going by quickly, and everything has been going smoothly (and yes, I just knocked on some wood so as not to jinx myself), and tomorrow will be another good day. I can feel it.
