- that Valentine’s Day is the most useless, consumer-driven holiday in the world and that it should not exist.
- that you should love on everyone important in your life all the time, not just one day a year. Make me a big deal all the time, not just when Hallmark tells you to make me a big deal.
- that God’s plan sometimes takes longer than I expect or want it to (and often takes a different route than I would) but that I can be patient and wait for the right thing to happen because it will be worth it.
- that I have the most amazing friends for whom I am eternally grateful. I’m so blessed to be able to be myself all the time around so many fabulous people — how did I get so lucky?
- that love is love, and even without one special person on Valentine’s Day, I can still have so much love and so much joy in my life. And I probably had way more fun than most of the couples I saw tonight, anyway, so suck on that.
