Lately, my mind has been consumed with a lot of what ifs with one main what if: What if I have to move? Considering how limited my options are in Jackson, it’s looking more and more like that what if will turn into “Oh, God, I have to move.” It’s hard enough to think about having a different job and different coworkers, so in an attempt to calm down a bit, I have made a list of good things that will more than likely come with my new job in a new city.
1. The new city will probably be Memphis. I love Memphis.
2. Memphis has a lot more things to do than Jackson.
3. I have lots of grown up friends in Memphis.
4. I can make lots of new friends!
5. New place, new boys!
6. More money! (All my strong prospects start out higher than I’m being paid, and the cost of living in Memphis isn’t much higher than that of Jackson.)
And the best one:
7. If I have a more stable job, I CAN GET A PUPPY! (Although more stable means less travel, and that’s depressing, but that’s nothing a puppy can’t fix.)
