Happy Fun Fact Saturday! I didn’t actually forget that it was Tuesday this week, but this week has been insane, and I haven’t actually been in my apartment for more than ten hours (total) since Tuesday afternoon. Because this week’s set is so late, I’m gonna go ahead and give you two extra fun facts. Ready? Okay.
1. I was on the road from Tuesday until pretty late last night. I’m a big fan of driving and road tripping (Um, obviously; it was part of my job description.), but there is nothing better than coming home and sleeping in your own bed. Or, you know, the couch. Whatever.
2. I fall asleep on my couch a lot. It’s a pretty bad habit, actually. I’ll just sit down for a minute to read or watch TV, and the next thing I know, it’s two hours later. I’m going to blame my couch. It’s way too comfortable for its own good.
3. Because of the high travel week I had, I rented a car, which I absolutely love doing, except for the part where my car sits in a parking lot in the sun for four days and I have to drive it back home while trying not to melt and/or spontaneously combust.
4. If you looked in the aforementioned rental car at any given point during the week, you’d think I have some sort of strange obsession with Memphis. (Okay, maybe that’s not that much of a stretch.) In the passenger seat: four pages of Google Maps directions with three locations in Memphis, the latest issue of Skirt! magazine, and CDs from Memphis musicians. The latter pretty much sums up any road trip with me, though.
5. I have a love-hate relationship with summer, mostly because I hate being sweaty. It makes motivating myself to go for a run (or a walk. I’m really not interested in getting heat stroke.) incredibly difficult; however, I have every intention of waiting until it’s later to go get my work out on. Or going shopping. Walking around the mall is a perfectly acceptable form of exercise.
